Objective

The key objective of the project is to protect crop from flood damage and promote sustainable groundwater recharge.

Location

The project will be implemented in Gujranwala, Gujrat and Lahore divisions.

(70% share from government and 30% by the beneficiary farmer)

Construction of 1,000 Groundwater Recharge Systems

Eligibility and Selection Criteria

  1. Individual farmer or group of farmers are eligible.
  2. Owner/ lessee/ tenant of agricultural land not less than five acres (attach Fard-e-Malkiyat from LRMS in case of owner and agreement in case of lessee/ tenant)
  3. willing to provide required land at the technically feasible location for construction of groundwater recharge system
  4. agree to construct groundwater recharge system as per design and specifications of the department
  5. agrees to contribute his share of 30% of total cost
  6. ready for maintenance of the groundwater recharge system for at least three years
