This Urdu magazine is regularly published by Directorate of Agricultural Information, Punjab on fortnightly basis to motivate and educate growers for adoption of innovative farm technologies. This magazine is considered as most reliable source of information about latest farm practices for the farming community. In this magazine, articles written by agricultural scientists about production technology of major and minor crops, vegetables and fruits are published according to the cropping season.

Agricultural Publications

The Directorate General Agricultural Information, Punjab regularly publishes booklets, pamphlets, folders, posters, brochures, handbills etc. for technical guidance and education of farmers / stakeholders round the year. Vast majority of literate farmers of Punjab province benefit from these informative publications for increasing their per unit productivity. Books on different agricultural topics written by experts are also published for agricultural professionals, University teachers, students and progressive growers.

Publicity through Newspapers and Magazines

The Directorate General Agricultural Information, Punjab arranges publicity of site-specific modern agricultural technology by releasing advertisements, press releases, handouts and agricultural features to National and Regional newspapers/ magazines for dissemination of agricultural information regularly round the year. 

Press Clippings / News Monitoring

The Directorate General Agricultural Information, Punjab monitors important agricultural news, articles and editorials on agriculture published in national and regional newspapers. Press clippings / summary of these news are prepared and sent to Minister for Agriculture, Secretary Agriculture, Punjab and other policy makers daily.

This newsletter is published on monthly basis to highlight news relating to research achievements and development activities of Agriculture Department, Punjab

Publicity through TV Channels

Agricultural messages / TVCs are produced and telecast at critical crops growth stages through TV channels round the year to educate farming community about latest and site-specific production technologies. More than one thousand agricultural messages are also telecast annually during prime time from T.V. channels. In addition, more than one thousand News Packages are also telecast by maintaining liaison with different terrestrial and satellite TV channels. In addition, this directorate also issues TV Tickers about development activities flashed through satellite TV channels.

Video Documentaries

The Directorate General Agricultural Information, Punjab also produces video documentaries on various agricultural topics for telecast through TV channels. These documentaries are usually played at agricultural exhibitions, fairs, farmer days and training programs. The Directorate also produces documentaries for SAARC countries for sharing of research and developments in the field of Agriculture and related disciplines.

Electronic Media Monitoring Cell

An Electronic Media Watch Cell has been established in the Directorate to monitor news / tickers relating to agriculture telecast through TV channels daily. Tickers on research achievements / technical information as well as clarifications of news are also released to TV channels by this Directorate General regularly.

Radio Agricultural Programs

Agricultural programs are broadcast daily from seven Radio Stations in Punjab Province including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Multan, Faisalabad, Sargodha, Bahawalpur and Mianwali. About 3000 talks of agricultural experts and interviews of progressive farmers, 1500 agricultural messages and 2000 Agricultural News Bulletins / reports are broadcast from these Radio Stations annually with the cooperation of Directorate General Agricultural Information, Punjab.

This website is regularly updated for dissemination of agricultural information and projecting development activities, research achievements, new innovations, Government initiatives and policy measures in agriculture.

Social Media is a powerful tool to educate farmers now a days. This Directorate General Agricultural Information Punjab has created official Facebook ( www.facebook.com/AgriDepartment ) and official Instagram ( www.instagram.com/agripunjab/ ) pages to educate farmers about new cropping techniques to enhance productivity.

Youtube Channel

This Directorate General has also launched Youtube Channel (Agriculture Department Punjab) to educate farming community about farm technologies, TV Programs, TVCs and documentaries on Agriculture. Production technologies are uploaded regularly for benefit of the farming community/stakeholders.

Tiktok

This Directorate General has also officially created Tiktok Account (https://www.tiktok.com/@agripunjabpk) to educate farmers to stay up to date with about new cropping techniques to enhance productivity. 

WhatsApp Groups

This Directorate General has also created a Official WhatsApp Channel of Agriculture Department Punjab to educate farmers by sending messages/short videos at critical times of crops growth stages about latest and site-specific production technologies.
