Field Wing of Agriculture Department is working to Ensure food security and sustainability for increasing populace through land and water resource development and farm mechanization with the following objectives:
- To increase area under cultivation to ensure food security
- To explore groundwater resources for ensured supply of irrigation water
- To conserve land and water resources through soil and water conservation interventions
- To promote farm mechanization through capacity building of farmers, manufacturers & extension workers
