Productivity Enhancement in Mango Sector of Punjab (2025-26 to 2027-28)

Objectives

• Development of a state-of-the-art infrastructure for advanced mango nurseries and the conservation of imported mango germplasm
• Development and commercialization of soil-less mango nursery technologies to improve seedling health, survival rates and facilitate its export
• Introduce new high-yielding and climate-resilient mango varieties having extending shelf life
• Reduction in mango post-harvest losses through advanced orchard management practices and value addition
• Increase mango exports by ensuring compliance with international quality and phytosanitary standards.
• Establishment of demonstration farms for hands-on training and dissemination of innovative production technologies
• Training of mango growers, nurserymen, processors and exporters on best practices in orchard management, post-harvest handling, and disease control& value addition
