Completed Projects

The first "On Farm Water Management Project" was launched during October 1976 as a five year pilot program with assistance of United States Assistance for International Development (USAID). On Farm Water Management has completed 59 projects. Major objectives of these projects were to increase overall irrigation efficiency through increasing delivery efficiency, adopting improved irrigation practices, promoting crop diversification, effective application of non-water inputs, improvement of community watercourses, precision land leveling of farmers’ fields, installation of High Efficiency (Drip/Sprinkler) Irrigation Systems and adoption of advanced irrigation agronomic techniques.
