Farmers and Extension Workers
Seminars/Trainings regarding seasonal crop management at the fields of interested farmers are arranged by each team with the collaboration of private sector. Literature for insect Pests & diseases of current/seasonal crops are distributed to the farmers and Demonstration is also arranged keeping in view the importance of crops. Farmers & Extension workers are motivated to ask any question.
The Farmers & Extension Workers are trained in:
Identification of insect pests, diseases and their timely appropriate control measures.
Identification of useful insects.
Safe handling of pesticides, plant protection machinery and their proper use.
The conservation and use of Bio-control agents against insect pests of crops
Pesticides Dealers
The training of pesticide dealers are offered twice in a year at the interval of 6 months i.e. first in April and 2nd in the November.
The candidates are required to contact the office of concerned Assistant Director of Agriculture (PP) well in time before the commencement of training.
Pesticides dealers (New & Old) are trained in;
Safe handling and effective use of pesticides as well as about
Pesticides Ordinance 1971 amended up to 2012 and Rules 1973.
Identification of insect pests, diseases and their timely appropriate control measures.
Identification of usesful insects.
Conservation & use of Bio-control agents against insect pests of crops at Tehsil & District levels according to procedure and schedule.
